Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

We want everyone to serve in a ministry that they love!  Serving the Lord is supposed to bring joy to our lives.  The first step in finding a place to serve is to know yourself!  How has God gifted you?  Where have you been successful in the past?  What is the cry of your heart?  We look at all of these things together and will work with you to find a great place to serve where you can be fulfilled.  Connect with one of our Pastors at church, or complete the online form to connect with us.  Don't worry, volunteering at CCN isn't a lifelong commitment.  We'll ask for a reasonable commitment, and you are free to try a few things until you find your fit.

How do I volunteer with kids or with the Student Group?

We are always looking for fun, friendly, and fair people to pour into the lives of our young people.  All ministry volunteers who work with minors undergo a thorough background screening followed by training and supervision in ministry.  Children's ministry workers always work in pairs, and serve on a rotation.  Volunteers who work with our students help with activities, events, and small groups.

How do I volunteer with music?

Our worship ministry is led by Pastor JP Garrison and he is the contact person if you are interested in serving in the worship ministry.  We are always looking for talented musicians and singers who have a heart to use their gifts to serve the Lord.  Did you know that non-musicians are also needed?  Each week it takes an army of volunteers to help with media, projection, and to run our live stream.  If you re interested in these things, reach out to Pastor JP and let's get you plugged in!

Wait a minute...I have an idea!

That's great!  We are always open to what the Lord wants to do at CCN.  It isn't uncommon for someone to approach us with a ministry idea.  We don't say yes to every idea that comes along, but often God will put an idea in the heart of one of our members that becomes huge in the life of the church.  What we're saying is...if you have an idea, let's talk it through!  God may have given you that idea for such a time as this!
