Advent Message One: The Prophecy of John the Baptist

Message one of Advent 2023 is a message about the prophecy of the birth of John, given by the angel Gabriel to his parents Zacharias and Elizabeth. Both were elderly and Elizabeth had been unable to conceive. The Lord looked upon them and heard their prayers. He opened Elizabeth's womb. John the Baptist would be the forerunner of Christ, just as announced at the close of the Old Testament, to proceed and prepare the way for the coming of the Lord.
